This is sunrise at Unity Village, this past Monday morning in Lees Summit, MO. 200 musicians, ministers, music directors, friends, and fans gathered for the 17th annual Empower Music Festival last weekend, and it was a glorious re-union.
I was privileged to give the keynote address
"Where's the Village?"
after the pandemic stopped us in our tracks for a couple of years, and it was just divine to be in the presence of such beautiful people with such high intentions for the human family.

Our six guides will make three great meals a day (accommodating everyone ~ vegan, omnivore, and everything in between, right down to happy hour each day ~ which is every hour on this pristine body of water), and make our lives just this side of "glamping" - yes, you get to set up the gear they fully provide (we're always there to help) and create community in the most beautiful campsites you've likely ever experienced.

Life on the Salmon is a reminder of the simpler beauties of life - time changes, perspectives shift, priorities arise, all thanks in part to digital detox ~ we're unplugged, off the grid, and away from the busyness of this hectic world. Sound good?

Wait, there's more! I'll be joined on this trip by my sweet and dear friend Glen Roethel - musician extraordinaire, song encyclopedia, and all-around wonder-full human being.
Each year I get to bring a guest, this time it's Glennie, and we'll meet at the campfire each evening and sing to and with all of you. This will be extra-ordinary.
