Greetings from San Pancho, Mexico (pictured above is a mural on a wall by the town park)! Dusted off the passport for a couple weeks of exploration after a busy 2023 that saw me getting back "out there" once more. I can't tell you how wonder-full it feels to be in a different culture after the equally wonderful experience of singing for you in person again all year.

Did you know that more Americans don't have passports than do? True! This has always befuddled me because I believe traveling is the greatest education available anywhere...to be a visitor in someone else's homeland and to meet people from other cultures is an incredible learning experience.

I notice where we get with vitriol, taking sides, right and wrong, exercising privilege, seeking/exerting/abusing power, wielding affluence, keeping isolated, insulated, and getting on a high horse.

Perspective is key.

More sweet news on the customer service front. It had to be almost two decades since I got hold of a G7 capo, a most sturdy high-end guitar accessory that I've had all this time. During a recent tour a lever finally wore out, and I made contact with the company directly to see if I could somehow take it apart and fix it.
Enter Artist Relations liaison (and finger-style guitarist) Tommy Loose (far right, below) who, in a series of friendly back-and-forth e-mails simply replaced it with a brand new gold plated version on the house.
Shipped from the UK, no less. Two decades later.
Props to G7 for going the extra mile. Check 'em out!

Here we go...how bout some FLORIDA (separate e-mail coming)!

and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts.
Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.”
