Live shows are happening, and it feels great and meaningful to sing for you in person again…food for the soul. Our beloved winter Cape Cod Songwriters Retreats thrive in our new location right on Commercial Street in Provincetown, and I’m thrilled that owners/musicians Tom and Brian of the Brasswood Inn share our vision of nurturing creativity in all who attend and at any level of experience! Recording #17 in the works
The first appearance I officially canceled when the pandemic hit in 2020 was on my birthday at the Walkabout Clearwater Coffeehouse (“the house that Pete Seeger built”) in White Plains, NY. I was looking forward to that one. Now all this time later I have a passel of new songs written here at home on the usual wide variety of subjects (and not just the obvious ones).
I’m adding to my skill set and recording a bunch or so of ’em here at World Headquarters of David Roth Music (!) using Macintosh’s own software, Logic Pro. Right on my Macbook Air…imagine a small laptop as a digital recording studio. Learning R Us to be sure, and it’ll be good to get these songs out into the world in the foreseeable future.
