Here we go, into the home stretch of what I feel has been a dark and stained chapter in the history of the United States. And as is the nature of the world these days, actions of a country so big and wealthy (at least for a few) reverberate around the entire globe, and many topple like dominoes at the whims of those in power. The USA is not alone in this paradigm by any means, but we can be an example if we return to basic decency for starters. Let's start now, with the very foundational belief that His Holiness the Dalai Lama embraces in his own word: "Kindness".
He also said:
"Don't ever mistake my silence for ignorance, my calmness for acceptance or my kindness for weakness. Compassion and tolerance are not a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength."
