New-month greetings, friends. As winter slowly releases it's grip in the coming weeks and we contemplate a spring unlike any other in our lifetimes, maybe it's time you joined us in bringing forth new creative life into the world as well. Something we can sink our teeth into...
In this, the 23rd year or our SummerSongs songwriting camp, we once again go online with Zoom to bring every single one of you an ALL levels weekend of world-class songwriting/creativity classes and community.
Friday-Sunday, February 19-21, 2021
We welcome first-time (for us) instructors Steve Seskin, Susan Cattaneo, and Lea Morris, tho all are widely experienced and celebrated for what they bring to our gathering. All the other presenters are annually up at the top of our list of most requested teachers. You’re in great hands and ears.
Which courses to take? We’re here to help, and our foundations are support, fun, and connection. We'll do our utmost to ensure that you come away energized and empowered to make the most of your music in hands-on and meaningful ways. And if you're a music fan, this is a "festival ticket" to an amazing and inclusive collaboration of creatives who will inspire you no matter what you do in this world.
And all this - the entire weekend program - is $100 per household.
Not a typo. So even if you're just curious, never played an instrument or sang a note before, it's (as we say in New England) "a bahgain"!

Many of you have asked about the status of my international (and Idaho) music tours. As of this writing we are planning to proceed with 3 trips to Ireland, my first to Scotland, and my 5th rafting trip in Idaho as chronologically follows:

May 31- June 8, 2021 ~ Scotland ~ 4 spaces open
Beyond the Tartan Tour
$2500 per person double occupancy, $2800 single ~ Included in the tour cost are all in-country entertainment, museums, travel, 3 group dinners, lodging, breakfasts, local guides. Guests are responsible for their own flights, lunches, the balance of dinners, and transportation to and from Edinburgh.
* a note from the organizer, my friend Tim Grimm: "My philosophy is that we are a GO until it becomes evident that we cannot make the trip. Our safety as a group and as individuals is my utmost concert. If the US or UK Government curtails our Tour because of Covid concerns, all guests will receive a full refund (minus small admin costs). At this time, I am not taking 2nd or 3rd payments for the trip, until we have a better idea whether the tour will be able to go forward. If the tour is deemed safe, we will request payment at that time. We are continuing to book the other 2021 tours at this point, and am still taking the initial deposit in those cases."

All 30 of us went as scheduled last August, with every hygiene and safety precaution in place, and it was utterly glorious. We paddle again, with 6 guides, 3 generous (and healthy) meals (all diets can be accommodated) a day, the most beautiful campsites in the world, and music by firelight each night. All levels, kids and grandkids welcomed (we may write songs too)...
