âLetâs say you organize conferences and you wanted to create the perfect musician to be part of the program. Youâd create a person who could move people, touch their hearts, and inspire their humanity. Youâd also want someone who was funny and could make people laugh, and while youâre at it, why not have this musician be a great singer and songwriter. Creating this person would require a great deal of work, but fortunately, cosmic forces have already done the job. His name is David Roth.â
Robert Schwarz, PsyD, Director, Institute for Advanced Clinical Training
âWhile I had heard many artists rave about David Roth for years and I owned several of his CDâs in my personal collection, I had never had the pleasure of hearing and seeing him in person. But as high as my expectations were, he surpassed them in every way. David is a consummate performer, singer, songwriter, and musician. In addition, he is professional in every respect, always doing more than required. On the top of that he is a delightful human being. I thank him for his superlative performances and give any one who may ask my highest recommendation.â
Ron Sowell, Artistic Director ~Â Woody Hawley Concert Series, Charleston, WV
Musical Director â Mountain Stage Radio Show

âDavid Roth beautifully graced our annual Unity Canada 2021 virtual conference, providing an incredible array of heart-opening music, meditation and stories throughout the 3 day event. Davidâs ability to hit just the right note (pun intended) depending on the requirements of the moment, is second to none. He was a generous, engaged and thoroughly entertaining addition. We cannot wait to have him back for future events.â
Rev. Roxanne Buckle, Unity Canada Board & Conference Chair
âDavidâs musical sermon-in-song: âLiving in Harmony: Easier Sung than Doneâ profoundly touched us as we became motivated to seek the harmony which David easily sings about. Â He filled our hearts with gratitude and joy, compelling us to look for that same gratitude and joy in every little thing. We look forward to inviting David back to First Parish of Norwell as an annual event! We want MORE!â

Karen Parker Feld, Crowsâ Feat Farm âWhy Weâre Liveâ Concert Series, 2021
David has honed his considerable skills as a songwriter, performer, and collaborator to a fine edge, displayed brilliantly on his recent recording âLast Day on this Earthâ. He displays that winning trifecta of passion for this human experience, a keen nose for the stories of people in the many nooks and crannies of that experience, and the right touch of humor, to make this one of my favorite recordings of the year.â
Bob Weiser ~ The Old Songs Home, WOMR, Provincetown, MA
âDavidâs music reminds us that most people are good and want to do their best both for themselves and for their fellow human beings. In a world that is so troubled, Davidâs songs bring light. David addresses many current issues and itâs always a joy to hear his new â and older â songs. If it were my âlast day on this earthâ, I would listen to a David Roth CD!â

âI am 54 years old and have listened to music my entire life. I love its feeling, emotion, rhythm, desireâŚ.and it is certainly unusual for me to write to an artist, but this is an exception. I am in constant search of new music to expand my horizons. However, radio these days does not expose anyone to this, but I recently became an XM Radio listener, and of course I heard them play David Roth. I bought several CDâs and became a fan. I wish I had heard you years ago when I needed my spirit lifted or my foot needed to tap. Your songs are wonderful and I will spread the word of your melodies and stories. Thank You!â
Larry Atkinson, Texas Childrenâs Hospital, Houston, Texas
âDavidâŚthanks for a fabulous concertâŚmy favorite of the season. You have a great way of connecting with the audience so that it feels fresh and original and customized for each audience. Doesnât hurt that you write great songs and have a great voice. Iâd totally recommend you to anyone.â
Ariella St. Clair, St. Clair Productions ~ Ashland, OR
âOur first choice to keynote the Minnesota Peer Helpers Association conference for counselors, teachers, community leaders and social workers was David. Among the raves, several participants said it was one of the most powerful mornings of their lives. Plus, we didnât have to go after our second choices â Hillary and Chelsea Clinton.â
Rob Kesselring, Conference Coordinator, MPHA
âDavid Roth brings a unique blend of compassion, humility, affection for human foibles, righteous anger, and musicality to any worship service or show in which he is featured. His decades of experience performing solo and sharing stages with many of the big names in folk music provide him with a rich repertoire on which to draw no matter what the occasion. And he has a non-anxious stage presence that makes for charming interactions with the audience.â

NEED A SPEAKER FOR YOUR EVENT?
Expanded endorsements for DavidâŚâ
âYou have found your speaker! Look no further. David Roth is everything one hopes for in a presenter. He is fun, energetic and deeply thoughtful. His words ring true with first and second graders as well as adults and all ages in between. He knows how to read and relate to his audience in a way few performers do. Through his music and conversation one always leaves feeling uplifted and positive. I know this to be true from my own personal experiences. As a keynote for educators you wonât find anyone else as good as David!
Iâm a retired kindergarten, first and second grade teacher. David worked in my school and classroom for many years. Within my classroom he wrote songs with my students each year. He also sang and conversed about some of his songs. One year my class illustrated a few of his songs. He also wrote songs across grade levels as well. His song, âWe Belong Togetherâ was written by the third graders in my school. When he left that day he promised them he would record their song on his next CD and he did! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQoL6p3KWAo)
David also performed whole school (K-5) events. Very few performers can keep a young audience mesmerized for an hour, but David can. All teachers, which is rare, felt that Davidâs performances were one of the highlights each year. He makes all topics, easy and hard, relatable to appropriate age audiences. When David performed office staff, custodians and even parents that were in the building would stop by and listen while they could.
Now for the adults ⌠David, walks the walk, and talks the talk. His words bring people together for conversation, understanding and healing. His songs are deep and light at the same time. They make people think and are so welcoming, between the words and the music.  He is a storyteller of the highest quality. I had a house concert series in my home for many years and David was the most asked for musician each year.
Iâm now working with The Village Trip Festival in NYC, (https://www.thevillagetrip.com). Iâm the Director of Education and Development for the younger generation. David was the first musician I brought in to write and perform with children from the neighborhoods. There are pictures of him with the children on the website. Iâve already included David for next yearâs festival. Being the wonderful person David is at the last moment he joined David Amram and Willie Nile on stage to support a Ukrainian Day fundraiser during the festival.
I cannot say enough about David! If you are looking for someone to motivate your community youâve found the perfect person. He motivates me to encourage community, try new things and to be my best!  When you meet him, you will see what I mean.â

âAs a music educator who attends many regional and national conferences, David is the best speaker/singer/messenger I have ever had the pleasure of hearing. Over my 32 years in education, I have shared many of Davidâs songs with my students. In 2018 and 2019, David was very kind to agree to come to my school to spend the day with my students. We sang, we laughed, we cried and all of us grew together as David shared his songs and stories. All of the teachers who came with their students, marveled at Davidâs ability to captivate, engage, and touch the heart of every person in the room. There arenât words to accurately state how much of a blessing it would be to have David share with, inspire, and wrap your staff in love and kindness.

âIâm a retired  professor from Southern Connecticut State University. For many years I helped produce a three-credit graduate course for educators called The Healing, Education, Laughter and Play Institute. We wanted one of the sessions to be by a musician, and Davidâs songs addressed all of the words in the course title. Besides being a skilled songwriter, guitarist and storyteller, his presentation style is fun, engaging and uplifting. The students always evaluated Davidâs sessions the highest! He presented at this institute for many years!â
