Germany’s Stockfisch Records released my 15th studio recording “Meet You Where You Are” (and fourth on this European label) in early 2020. What a time for a new album! Still waiting for the tour. They did another amazing job with my songs (and one by the late great Phil Ochs).
Eight of my 15 CDs – Rising in Love, Digging Through My Closet, Nights at the Chez, If You Can’t Fly, Another Side of David Roth, Irreconcilable Similarities, Think Twice (double CD), and now Rhubarb Trees (duo CD w/Anne Hills) continue to live on, reissued on a wooden 8 GB flash drive ~ 133 songs, lyrics, and liner notes (for the exotic price of $40 on my website, $30 at shows). ALSO included on the drive are other out-of-print items – the 12 tracks from my 1988 cassette May the Light of Love AND BOTH DR Songbooks, Volumes 1 and 2, forty eight selected songs in PDF form. As we say in New England, “a bahgain”.
Oxford University Press Worldwide has just re-upped for the use of my song Nine Gold Medals in yet another Indian textbook called Satthwa A Value Education Course 5. The licensing fee? 17,851.5 rupees. I got excited! Then I went to the currency calculator. Still, all these kids in India hearing about this story of courage and selfless-ness is worth every rupee and all of the two hundred dollars 🙂
Thanks for tuning in, always.
